And the person advocating the privatisation of our NHS is Streeting who enjoys having his pockets stuffed full of dirty oncers from the companies who stand to make millions

That's how they do it. Make it so complicated for people to get the most routine appointments that everybody starts going private

Private companies that only want routine, lucrative work and send anything complex...and their failures.... back to the NHS. I have permanent damage to my left leg following a 'waiting list initiative' surgery at a Nuffield hospital. Nearly died. I survived but am now disabled.

Dr Bob Gill - interviewed by Chris Williamson WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO OUR NHS? 👇

No. A demonstration of the failure and inefficiency of NHS staff despite the enormous levels of taxpayer money

Not privatisation if it's still free at point of use. But bedding the private sector in like this is preparing the ground for an insurance/means-tested system, which is coming within the next decade.

Replying to @Heccles94
yes. Just like all beds, scanners, drugs, cleaning is provided to the NHS by the private sector. Grow up and accept that what matters is a health system that works and delivers value. Not 6th form ideology

Ostensibly, your experience is of one healthcare system. The NHS. The reality is that the best system is a mixture of private healthcare and public healthcare. Such as the Australian system and some of our European neighbours.

NHS consultants doing private work paying 60p in the Pound income tax..

A lot of private appointments were made after the Covid backlog which domes departments still have. Hopefully this will elevate pressure on the NHS so it is there for all. It is just another way of sornding resources to clear backlog.

And yet it still free at the point of delivery. Rejoice! Your fears were unfounded.

That’s why Wes is paid so much from private healthcare donors… They don’t give him the money out of the goodness of their hearts….

Really? I was seen quickly in one of those clinics. I'm grateful they had the spare capacity.

Yes another betrayal by Labour.

No you 🔔🔚! It’s a good thing that private clinics are able to take some pressure off failing NHS that is infiltrated by weak, wet, woke, lazy people

Using NHS trained people, that won’t last , NHS don’t train many people now , 🥴

Exactly ie Cataract Surgery......so many people in my age group were being whipped off for these procedures at private clinics, even some who didn't know they had cataracts ie after an eye check up at the Optician...having it done within the week!! Massive profits made!
Replying to @Heccles94
Yes. These providers are efficient. You get what you pay for quickly, professionally, with less hassle. The NHS could learn from these providers.
Replying to @Heccles94
Yep. It’s the Blue Labour way…

Whilst private companies can and do play an important part, Brits need to get real about their healthcare system; a model that is not emulated anywhere else in the world.
Replying to @Heccles94
Probably helps that they aren't striking for a 30% payrise.
Replying to @Heccles94
Nah cant be. Otherwise Carol Vorderman James OBrien and Led by Donkeys would be attacking the govt every day.

I prefer this than NHS hospitals doing private work as NHS work should always be the focus. Private providers often chery pick the most profitable work but if you're a patient I'm sure you'll be happy to get off the waiting list.
In the nearest City to me a private health provider uses old hospital building & carries out NHS contract & private paying services. They have a daily old style GP clinic, just turn up. Also NHS surgical work. My cataracts done in 4 weeks. Local main hospital would be 6 months!

-and anything tricky or disastrous gets funnelled by ambulance straight back into the NHS. Disaster capitalism in full greedy swing.
Replying to @Heccles94
Great. Abolish the NHS. It’s a left wing failure.

More like profitisation, Ask for lots and do just enough, then ask for more again.
Wow! You’re super smart, aren’t you?

It's funny that the state no longer paying to provide so many now privatised services hasn't reduced anybody's tax bill. ? Where did the savings go?
