Great job, @SenSchumer. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"

KILMEADE: Schumer says he's voting no. Did you do this outside leadership? SHAHEEN: No. We kept leadership informed throughout.

“Anyone who helps me try to steal an election gets a pardon” is perhaps the most corrupt thing to happen in American history. That “conservatives” have simply accepted this as the price of admission is the greatest moral and intellectual humiliation.
BREAKING: President Trump has pardoned Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, Christina Bobb, Boris Epshteyn and dozens of false GOP electors and other key figures involved in his effort to overturn the 2020 election results, per pardon attorney Ed Martin >>>

I got back to my office after the vote tonight and recorded this. There's no way to sugarcoat what happened tonight. And my fear is that Trump gets stronger, not weaker, because of this acquiescence. I'm angry - like you. But I choose to keep fighting.

Just going to leave this one here.
Q: Will you assure House Democrats they'll get a vote on ACA subsidies by a date certain? MIKE JOHNSON: Ah -- no. I'm not promising anyone anything.

At this point, an @AOC challenge to Chuck Schumer seems like one of the biggest no-brainers in recent political memory.

The old guard of the democrat party is no longer built to win elections or new voters. If Dems run with the same old names, the GOP will only continue to adapt and make the Dems hole deeper.

There is no Dem who thinks that Schumer voting No washes his hands of it. He is the captain of the ship and owns the process and end result. If he can’t run the team, then someone else needs to. Hopefully the other Dem senators understand the mood of the voters. If not, you will.
I worked in the Senate. I know how the Senate works. Democrats had the ability to keep things closed until Republicans agreed on Obamacare. And the Democrats caved.
Asked Dick Durbin — who voted yes today — about a separate ACA vote being viewed as a capitulation. Durbin said critics “need to understand how the Senate works.” “We have brought this issue as a major national issue from zero to a major factor,” he told me

Democrats could’ve passed the House CR til Nov 21 Then if ACA subsidies weren’t extended, the govt would shut down again, & they’d have leverage. With a CR through January 30, if there is no extension, rates will rise & many people won’t sign up for health insurance.

Chuck Schumer should step down. At best, he can't control his own caucus. At worst, he organized this deal behind closed doors.

Iowa Senate Dem candidate calling for Schumer ouster
.@SenSchumer has failed to lead this party in one of its most critical moments, and Americans will pay the price. It’s time for him to step down from leadership and make way for a new generation willing to fight for the people instead of the powerful.

Schumer negotiated this deal. Why do you think everyone (besides Fetterman) who voted yes is leaving the Senate? They’re the fall guys because there’s no political consequence for them.

Don’t be naive. Schumer totally facilitated this deal. He voted no to protect himself because he is a weasel and a coward.

With all due respect Senator, your Republican colleagues are going trample all over their pinky promise to allow a vote on the ACA enhanced tax credits. The promise of a vote is not a solution.
For over a month, I’ve made clear that my priorities are to both reopen government and extend the ACA enhanced premium tax credits. This is our best path toward accomplishing both of these goals.

You caved. At least be brave enough to admit it. Republicans spent all day yesterday hitting the highlights of HSAs and FSAs and you expect me to think that YOU think they’ll vote to fund the ACA? I’m not as stupid as you want me to be, Senator.

Fuck you. Jesus were we not clear enough? We want people fighting for us not going belly up. My insurance is going up by $1,253 a month and I can’t afford that. That means at 64 I will be going without insurance. Again fuck you.

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING? THIS IS THE FIGHT! FIGHT THIS FIGHT!
Schumer: "However this vote turns out, this fight will and must continue. Democrats must fight."
