UPDATE: probably the final update in this series. Echo ate a sizable dinner (3cups) of boiled shredded chicken with white rice and tiny cheese cubes dinner last night. He kept it all down. In fact, he hasn’t puked since the vet gave him the anti-nausea medication on Thursday afternoon. This morning, he returned to his regular routine - of being where he’s supposed to be - waiting in line, behind Zero, to pee, etc. Once outside, he did his business and even tried to poop a little, but nothing came out so we’re still waiting for our first poop (since Tuesday morning) but of course he was completely empty and these things take time and we must be patient. I am confident he will get there at some point today. That was a team effort, pulling him back from the brink… twice. Once with a fever that almost killed him and then again, with an overdose of antibiotics that drained his digestive system from both sides. Somewhat fortunate that it perfectly coincided with my wife’s annual vacation. She got robbed this year. We spent our vacation time & money at the vets. Thanks again for all of your prayers and well wishes. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I see that. Lol. We all learned something, though. Most importantly that even AI quit caring about that guy.

So now my United States post office is flying the American Flag at half-staff in recognition of World Freedom Day. So which is it MFrs? Am I supposed to be celebrating freedom and honoring those who helped bring down oppressive communist regimes across Central & Eastern Europe or am I supposed to be celebrating the rise of it in NYC?!? PICK A %^*%#ing LANE!!!!!!!!!!

Our local high school put flags in our (and our participating neighbors’) yard(s) this morning but I couldn’t figure out why. They do this five times a year, but not today. Then I remembered that they missed a day earlier this year due to weather - I think they are picking today as a substitute. But is anything happening today that is worth the US flag? Today is World Freedom Day. World Freedom Day was established by President George W. Bush in 2001. The first observance took place on November 9, 2001, marking the 12th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 — a moment seen as symbolic of the end of Communist domination in Eastern Europe and the triumph of democratic ideals. That’s certainly worth celebrating! But those assholes in New York City just elected one to be their mayor. Abolish any holiday that starts with the word “world.” thank you for your attention in this matter.

If my boy, Echo, must eat rice all day, then at least let’s make sure it’s the best rice it can be. Put 2 tablespoons of butter in the bottom of my pan and turn the stove top to a low medium heat until the butter melts and then pour in 3/4 cup of rice. And stir this for a minute, allowing the butter to coat each kernel of rice in fat. Then add 1.5 cups (double the rice) of chicken STOCK (much more flavorful than broth). Bring that stock to a short-boil. Then cover the pot and reduce the temp to simmer for :16 to :18 minutes, and Bob’s your uncle.

I’ve notice the same trend. It’s like the two timelines have switched.

In case you, like me, suspected AI (because the audio is out of sync with the video a little bit) - I went and checked with the original video which was recorded September 19, 2014 - and you can pick up this part of the conversation at the 08:45min of the full interview. charlierose.com/videos/3605

If I have any problem with Donald Trump, it is this. He always goes for the simple lazy, but impactful headline instead of addressing the real problem . We should be deporting 20 million illegal aliens from this country. It’s what we were told. “ Eisenhower level…” “A war department initiative…” “no one has seen anything like it.” That WILL (100%) fix your housing crisis
Thanks to President Trump, we are indeed working on The 50 year Mortgage - a complete game changer.

A German-Jewish WWI veteran wears his Iron Cross while a Nazi soldier stands in front of his shop for intimidation, 1933... This photo was taken in April of 1933, during the Nazi boycott of Jewish businesses. It was the expression on the shopkeeper’s face that captivated MyHeritage’s Research team: proud, unafraid, smiling wryly, he exudes a quiet power that contrasts starkly with the hunched body language of the Nazi standing nearby. Who was this man? And what became of him in the dark days that followed? The Research team had to find out — and what they uncovered about the rest of the man’s story blew them away. The man’s name was Richard Stern. After being awarded the prestigious Iron Cross for his service in the German army during World War I, he was driven out of his home country by the hateful Nazi regime. The Research team discovered records of Richard arriving at Ellis Island at the age of 40 in May 1939 — narrowly escaping the beginning of the war. In 1942, when Richard was 43 and not yet an American citizen, he enlisted in the U.S. Army to join the war efforts. And not only did he fight against the country he had once been decorated for defending, he was awarded a Silver Star in 1944: the third-highest combat award in the U.S. Army. Research team discovered a newspaper clipping from The Long Island Star-Journal printed on July 6, 1944, describing his service: “The victim of German brutality, 45-year-old Sergeant Richard F. Stern, earned the Silver Star for gallantry in action during an assault Jan. 7 on the slopes of Mount Porchio when in the face of heavy enemy fire he addressed the Germans in their own tongue and demanded that they surrender, convincing them they were hopelessly outnumbered.” Richard did not have any children of his own, but his great-nephew Jack Romberg, a rabbi living in Florida, is well aware of his great-uncle’s actions in the war. He reports that his uncle kept the Silver Star in a box at the bottom of a drawer in a back bedroom — but he did not keep the Iron Cross. Instead, he gave it to the U.S. Army, which was collecting metal to melt down and make into ammunition. That’s right: he turned his German military award into bullets to shoot the Nazis. © The Jewish Observer #archaeohistories
This is, without a doubt, the best commercial I've seen in years... 🥰

This is idiotic. Also FDR is one of the worst American presidents and had horrific economic policies. Making this comparison is basically saying Trump is worse than FDR.

On a 500,000 house that’s just a 370$ savings, 2600$ vs 2970$ per month at the same interest rate. Hardly any benefits. This 50yrs mortgage ain’t gonna help with anything.
