We're building a meditation app that also happens to be an email client :)
Email that feels like meditation. Join the waitlist at the link in our bio. Thanks for the feedback on the Alpha, @iamrayyaann.

Everyone wants housing to be more affordable, but nobody wants the value of their home to drop And any solution other than simply building more housing distorts the market more

I find 3/4 lead VC check, 1/4 angels tends to be the best way to fill out a round But in competitive rounds: megafunds will often try to eat the entire round. It's generally worth it to push back on this and leave room for angels And of course: do your diligence on the lead. Some megafunds in particular are notorious for promising the world and delivering very little in terms of help once the check lands. Or giving up on help once the going gets tough

Every once in a while, when we’re heads down building, a few messages like these surface and they remind us why we’re doing this. To everyone who’s shared thoughts, encouragement, or ideas for Sunflower, thank you! It means a lot to a small team trying to make email feel less noisy and more human 🌻

What @wcandillon is doing for react native apps cannot be overstated.
I saw a lot of people assuming that the jelly slider only lives on the web, but thanks to react-native-wgpu by @wcandillon it can also live inside your React Native app. The shader code stayed the same since it’s all TypeScript, and the TypeGPU plugin works with both Vite and Babel. The only change was event handling, made easy by react-native-gesture-handler.

Early thoughts: — simplicity is harder than it seems and they nail it — It captures signal, at first glance, more than noise — there’s a lot more to train there — Can’t wait for ‘Auto-pilot’ This 🌻 launch is chef’s kiss. @rsg (à la new @AppleTV logo) @michaelbrooksjr

A beautifully designed email client! Though in Alpha, it practically offers all needed features, exceeding most “stable” clients in daily use. Plus, it even uses less storage than other popular clients! @trysunflower

knowing how something was made greatly appreciates the value for it. in an era where so much can be generated, i suspect we’ll get more glimpses into the craft behind seemingly innocuous moments.
Apple TV’s colorful new branding was built with glass and captured in-camera.

One of the few things I don't love about our industry is the idea that to do big things you have to be broken as a person in some way. Dylan to me is a prime example of someone who is hugely successful and an incredibly good person. I loved his response. "Don't get so attached to the chip on your shoulder that you don't work through it."
New episode of Uncapped with @zoink. I think he's one of the best founders of our generation. I always feel smarter and clearer and after talking to him. We talked about the slow build of Figma vs. the dizzying start of today's AI startups, the role of AI and humans in design, the importance of staying connected to young people, and what it takes to be a strong and empathetic leader.

So excited to launch Autograph today. We raised $2.1M from elite operators, founders, and investors to build a platform that feels like God Mode for Operators. It's a single platform that integrates with existing systems — the alphabet soup of enterprise software, like your HRIS, ERP, FP&A, ATS, CRM, along with data warehouses and spreadsheets — to combine, clean, and make sense of your data. This data feeds a series of pre-built apps and agents that allow you to level up as an operator: run your complex, multi-functional workflows 10x better. We're solving the processes that takes forever and is really frustrating, but is essential to operating and scaling effectively: our first few apps are headcount planning, compensation reviews, and sales capacity. We're moving insanely fast. We're shipping a new app every couple of weeks. Soon, we'll have hiring pipelines, vendor analytics, resource allocation, unit economics, CX capacity, people analytics, and more. The best part? It's incredibly fast to set up thanks to our powerful agentic data engine, that processes any data source like magic. That means no long implementations, no multi-year contracts. We think it's the biggest leap forward for operators since the spreadsheet. Book an 20-minute onboarding to get started!

The older I get, the more I realize the people you admire are just the ones who had the courage to start. The ones who didn't overthink it. The ones who put their ego aside. The ones who embraced uncertainty. The ones who kept showing up. The answer is found in the action.

The startup founders who treasure your $25K like $25M today will steward $2B the same way tomorrow; financial discipline is muscle memory.

"Your aim isn’t to hit the biggest number this quarter, it’s to build something enduring and exceptional over the next decade."
For early-stage startups, viral marketing is often a mistake. The same goes for heavy paid marketing. You might get a lot of views, but not the right ones. What usually happens is that you miss the true early adopters, the people who would actually love your still-in-progress product. Instead, you attract people who discovered you through hype, try the product out of curiosity, don’t find it ready yet, and leave. Your retention tanks, you get demoralized, and you might even pivot for the wrong reasons. I think chasing “fastest to X ARR” or similar milestones is the wrong goal. Your aim isn’t to hit the biggest number this quarter, it’s to build something enduring and exceptional over the next decade. There are no shortcuts. Hype, huge launches often end up in failure. You can’t skip straight from zero to mass late adopters. You have to learn from your early users, iterate, and grow with them. Keep launching, many times. Expand the ICP, go up market, do whatever, but keep the focus and keep refining the "right" customer.

I write a ton of angel checks and very rarely have a "point to the outfield" moment where I feel near-100% conviction a bet will work out Last time I felt this way was investing in @Linear. Just felt the same way again this morning Will share the details when they announce 🚀
