The fact that they don't care about intellectual property is advantageous for Chinese society. Everyone knows the rules: You invent something great, you have 1 year to use your competitive advantage & cash in before imitators with cheaper versions kill your margins. Companies are forced to keep running on the treadmill to stay relevant.

Gemini now having mapping / spatial grounding has been under-covered. This sparks many ideas for innovative navigation and mapping AI projects.

if your tutuorial includes "pip install" then switch to "uv pip install". IT TOOK 20 minutes to install @trychroma via pip and 5 seconds using uv pip install. THIS IS INSANITY. @astral_sh and @charliermarsh should run side by side experiments. i don't know if my setup is optimized for UV but damn that proves that i will never use "pip install" again. I had to put speed on 20x to try to finish pip installation method.

We don’t have a data problem. We have a time problem. Spreadsheets should give answers… but instead they turn into hours of formatting, fixing broken formulas, and hunting for the “right version.” Bricks (@Bricks_hq) is the fix. Upload your file → ask your question → get the answer. That’s it. Charts, summaries, comparisons, trends, all generated automatically, in plain language. No Excel wizardry required. Example prompts: • “Show monthly revenue growth.” • “Identify outliers.” • “Create a dashboard for Q4 performance.” It’s like ChatGPT and Excel had a smart, organized child who does the annoying parts for you. Why did every major AI company suddenly stop talking about AGI and start saying superintelligence? Dylan Patel (@dylan522p) says the shift started with Ilya Sutskever (@ilyasut), and his company, Safe Superintelligence (@ssi). “The word AGI doesn’t mean anything anymore. You can ask a researcher what AGI means, and they’ll say it’s an automated software developer, but that’s not artificial general intelligence.” “Ilya saw this first. He started SSI, and now every company talks about superintelligence. Maybe he’s figured out marketing too.”

I know this might be hard to believe, but most developers out there have never used AI before. There are companies (many) that are paying a ton of money for somebody to come and help them train their development teams. They have never used GitHub Copilot. They have never heard of Cursor. Something like Claude Code is not even in their radar. And these are multi-billion dollar companies. Many, many of them.

Ok, another banger result! Wee show how sequentially iterating on problems via LLM significantly boosts accuracy (over the conventional wisdom of majority voting by parallel chains). This works well not just for reasoning but for creative tasks (like generating jokes) as well.
📢 Releasing our latest paper Selected for @NeurIPSConf workshop on efficient reasoning! We show that the optimal test time scaling method is iteratively refining through sequential steps. 👉 Our method beats majority voting by parallel chains in 95% of configurations with accuracy gains up to 46.7% at matched compute.

The infrastructure for AI agent economies is being built right now by major tech companies. But fair markets need more than just payment rails. We need better AI capabilities and new governance frameworks too.
