Inside look at what we’re working on 👀
After years of work, get the first look inside @AstroMechanica as they fire their Gen 3 engine for the first time. A new kind of engine, to power a new kind of plane, to enable a wild new future of air travel.

It's never been a better time to build hardware in San Francisco Major thanks to @DanielLurie and his team for their support as we stand up our new factory in SoMa this year
I love when investors feed us 😋 Thank you @_Faraz @GiantStepVC @poppycrum

In 1941, my grandfather was stationed in Hawaii as a cartographer drawing maps that guided U.S. forces through WWII. This week, we briefed PACAF and INDOPACOM in Hawaii on closing critical air dominance gaps with our technology. I like to think he’d be proud 🇺🇸

People of Twitter: If you're a propulsion/design engineer from SpaceX, Blue, or elsewhere who wants to work on advanced airbreathing jet engines, please DM me We need NX wizards who can own variable nozzle design, flameholders, and other fun mechanisms and subsystems
8 yrs ago at Bridgewater, when presenting our tech plan, a board member said “What you’re undertaking is as hard as flying a 747 under the Golden Gate.” Today, I watched a 777 fly over the GGB. Hedge fund>supersonics wasn’t obvious, but I can’t imagine being anywhere else now.

This trajectory is awesome and very important— and a sign of where things are headed. Some of the greatest software minds and working on hardware and defense today. This is American Dynamism. 🇺🇸🚀💪
We're very proud to welcome Dan Witte to the team! At Meta, he led a 220-person org responsible for the full stack of advertiser-facing products that generated the majority of company revenue. Now, he'll be building out flight software to power our supersonic aircraft.

Dan was a Senior Director running the software org behind Meta’s ads business, now he’s leading flight software at @AstroMechanica. Cold applied on the website. No recruiter. Just passion for the mission. Welcome, Dan.

One way that I honor the memory of my parents is supporting @ExperienceCamps which provides life changing experiences for kids who have lost someone close to them.
Today my dad would have turned 75. On 1/31 this year, he took his life. He didn’t want what awaited him with advanced neurological disease. He was a man of resolution. He chose to live, and die, on his terms. And I respect the choice he made. I love and will miss him forever.

Having lost both of my parents I know how hard it is and how important it is to have people around you who “get it”. I’m here for anyone struggling with this.

We have an obsession with going fast, but on the whole, people are not moving much faster then we did 75 years ago. Through a confluence of technological, financial and geopolitical developments, supersonic flight is back on the table.
✈️ it’s been tough to keep this one quiet!
It’s great having a new partner who might know a thing or two about flight operations. Looking forward to working with @united to bring long-range, efficient supersonic flight to market!

“There are some things that are too important to not try. Loyal would be among those,” says @vkhosla, a long-time Loyal investor. We’re honored to be included in this year’s @Forbes Next Billion-Dollar Startup List.

what’s life without a little blisk?
Overheard in today's Symphony manufacturing readiness review: "If stage 1 LPC is a blisk not a disk, then it’s a risk"
Big, powerful, things are happening with our Gen 4 engine 👀

My godson, with eyes filled with wonder, lifts up his Lego SR-71 Blackbird and asks “Is this what you’re bringing back to life, Aunt Ashley?” Yes, it is. Those moments of wonder are my “why”. @AstroMechanica

My mom loved the 4th of July. She called herself the “ultimate American.” Her father’s side, Herring Pond Wampanoag (first Thanksgiving). Her mother, descended from John Jay of the Federalist Papers and the Declaration of Independence. One side, the first to love this land. The other, the first to dream its democracy. 🪶🇺🇸 She held both legacies fiercely. Now I carry them for her.
