This is unreal. Italian journalist Gabriele Nunziati was just fired for asking EU officials this question: "You’ve been repeating several times that Russia should pay for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Do you believe that Israel should pay for the reconstruction of Gaza since they have destroyed almost all its civilian infrastructure?" Nunziati's employer, Italy's Nova news agency, called the question "completely inappropriate and based on a mistaken premise." I for one think it's a logical question that calls out obvious double standards 🤷‍♂️ But of course it's easier to do it the EU way: brand uncomfortable questions as heretical thought crimes, excommunicate the questioner, and preserve the faith. We've done that a few times in our history.
Italy’s Nova news agency confirmed it let reporter Gabriele Nunziati go for asking a European official about Israel at a press conference. interc.pt/3LJafZX

Let’s sit for a moment with how two of the biggest stories out of Israel right now (aside from the continued bombardment of Gaza) are about protecting soldiers that oversaw the rape and torture of a Palestinian hostage and Israeli citizens gouging the eyes out of lambs and killing them because they belonged to a Palestinian.
Security footage shows nine masked Israeli settlers torturing lambs in a Palestinian pen in the southern West Bank, killing six and severely injuring four others haaretz.com/israel-news/2025…
I think we can fairly say that we've reached peak Orwell: the Nobel "Peace" Prize winner is literally calling for war against her own country, saying this will "save lives". "War is peace", we're there.
These trophy pictures of captured Gazans which young IDF soldiers share for their friends to admire on tiktok remind me of the B&W shots taken by Belgian colonial officers in the Congo after cutting the hands off young plantation workers for failing to make their rubber quota
🚨HORRIBLE: An Israeli soldier named Maor Schwartz מעוז שוורץ posted a video on his own page showing himself kidnapping an entire family “children and elderly” from Jabalia northern Gaza Strip months ago.
This 👇 is the huge US escalation that decided China to roll out its rare earths export controls: in the end of September the Trump administration increased he number of Chinese companies on the "Entity List" by 14 times (!), from 1,400 to 20,000. Meaning 14 times more Chinese companies cut off from the Western financial system, forbidden to use USD, etc. Including, of course, Nexperia in Holland, which is why the Dutch government seized the company away from China (to avoid these sanctions). The Trump administration tried to present China's move as something that came completely out of the blue and was uncalled for. But it came directly on the back of the largest expansion ever, by far, of US sanctions on China.
A deep dive into the Entity List in US-China relations, and in US relations with Europe and Japan. 1,400 Chinese firms were on the list before the September 29 "Affiliate Rules". After the rules, the count surged by roughly 20000. thewirechina.com/2025/10/19/…

“Where is the apartheid?”
Israeli occupation forces block students and teachers from reaching their school in Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank, today.
There’s a division but not in the way they want you to believe - not two irreconcilable cultures, just two very different experiences of the same military occupation. That’s the entire point of divide and conquer - that has been the Israeli project. A key difference is that an Israeli collaborationist ‘government’ sits in the West Bank, where it uses PA criminals to assist in crushing Palestinian dissent against the Israeli occupation & land theft.
Trump’s son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner says “what a lot of the Arabs have been telling me is that [Gaza and the West Bank] have very different cultures,” and therefore, any decision on linking the two politically will have to wait for now.

Not only do they leave out the most important part of the story—that Israel KILLED PALESTINIANS during a “ceasefire”—but they try to justify it. Another predictable but shameful headline from @nytimes.

They didn’t “hit” a bus. Israel slaughtered a family of 11. Now imagine that saying Hamas “hit” a bus killing 11 in Tel Aviv. No chance the BBC would frame it that way. This is how genocide is facilitated.
Eleven killed after Israel hits bus in Gaza, Hamas-run civil defence says bbc.in/4o0Mmvt
When local government goes all in on optics vs doing any real work
Remarkable success in our environmental efforts. Following CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif's directive, the first anti-smog gun operation in Kahna, Lahore, has reduced the Air Quality Index (AQI) from 666 to 170. This 70% decrease in air pollution has been scientifically analyzed & confirmed by our advanced environmental monitoring system. Our commitment to utilizing modern technology to combat smog and safeguard citizens' health remains absolute.
Hey everyone. It's the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize chatting it up with the guy who's wanted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court.
I spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today and thanked him for his warm congratulations to the people of Venezuela on our 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. We Venezuelans deeply value peace, and we know that achieving it requires immense courage, strength, and moral clarity to stand against the totalitarian forces that oppose us. It’s no surprise that the Iranian regime—a key supporter of the Maduro regime in Venezuela—also backs terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. This alignment underscores the global nature of the struggle between freedom and authoritarianism. Just as we fight for freedom and democracy in Venezuela, all nations in the Middle East deserve a future built on dignity, justice, and hope—not fear. We hope that the full implementation of President Trump’s visionary plan will contribute to achieving a just and lasting peace in the region. Ultimately, peace requires freedom, and freedom demands courage and strength.
I have Arab, Muslim, brown colleagues - brilliant journalists - who have been forced to leave the industry because they cannot find work after being let go (or “restructured”) because they were told they were “too close” to this story. Meanwhile, being a Jewish Zionist (bonus points if Israeli) gets you rewarded with directly framing the narrative you have a vested interest in.

They chanted “IDF will f*** the Arabs. Why is school out in Gaza? There are no children left there” But that you’ll tolerate.
This is the wrong decision. We will not tolerate antisemitism on our streets. The role of the police is to ensure all football fans can enjoy the game, without fear of violence or intimidation. bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

This story is getting barely any media coverage, which is why Israel returned the bodies with signs of torture. Didn’t even try to cover it up because they knew they didn’t have to.
Palestinians are emerging from Israel's torture dungeons with missing limbs, one blinded, and some with harrowing testimonies of rape at the hands of Israeli torturers Greta Thunberg has detailed sexual humiliation and beatings she suffered after being kidnapped in international waters A US journalist also kidnapped from the flotilla, Noa Avishag Schnall, emerged from an Israeli jail with bruises on her face, telling of how she was hung from the ceiling by metal shackles Yet these accounts will not be featured on the front page of The NY Times as the comprehensively debunked, still un-retracted Oct 7 sexual abuse hoax article, "Screams Without Words" was, and everyone knows why
I too was fooled to believe for a long time that the Palestinians were the ones who "did not want to settle". Then I realized it was the exact opposite; even before Netanyahu. Now I feel shame at having being played.
Bill Clinton has repeatedly claimed that, under his watch, Palestinians turned down a “once in a lifetime peace opportunity” for their own state. A new book by Robert Malley, who served as a US peace negotiator under Clinton, adds to a long body of evidence showing this to be a lie.
But there are thousands of living Palestinian hostages in the hands of Israel. She doesn’t care about them so she won’t tell you about them.
For the first time in over two years, there are no living hostages in the hands of Hamas.
The Israel First crowd is literally beyond parody
Trump's current and former US Ambassadors to Israel, Mike Huckabee and David M. Friedman, performed a rendition of "Sweet Home Alabama" in Israel titled "Sweet Home Yerushalayim." The lyrics were changed to push for Greater Israel. (Please forgive me for posting this.)

Look at how Western media frames this story. We live in an inverse reality where Palestinians trying to return home is a “ceasefire violation” but Israel FIRING AND KILLING Palestinians is not.
May the memory of the 250 journalists murdered in Gaza be honored in the **Genocide Museum** that must be part of the reparations program owed to the Palestinians, when the genocide actually ends. PS. Deleting a killed journalist's account is to kill them twice.
NEW | Instagram has removed the verified account of Gaza slain journalist Saleh al-Jafarawi, who had 4.5 million followers. Archived snapshots of his page on the Wayback Machine, the largest public internet archive, also appear to have been wiped or disabled, raising concerns about digital erasure of Palestinian documentation. Al-Jafarawi, known for his frontline reporting on the Gaza genocide, had previously faced repeated censorship. He was killed yesterday by an armed group collaborating with Israel. Observers warn that these developments may signal “a new phase in efforts to erase evidence of Israeli war crimes from the internet.”
