Okay, we will let you know. You let me know when I can buy a Waymo. Wonder which will happen first.
Ex-Waymo CEO John Krafcik on Tesla's Robotaxis: "Please let me know when Tesla launches a robotaxi — I'm still waiting. It's (rather obviously) not a robotaxi if there's an employee inside the car." In 2019, Waymo first began with what it called an "early rider program" in Arizona, allowing a select group of people to try the company's service. Safety drivers were present in the cars, and riders were temporarily put under a nondisclosure agreement.

They will switch from claiming that Tesla self-driving is fake to Tesla self-driving is unfairly good

Aug 17, 2025 · 5:41 PM UTC

This has already happened in Europe, when the car industry wrote a letter to the EU Commission a few weeks ago saying that FSD should not be part of the trade agreement between the US and Europe because the system is - and I quote - "unfair competition".
The goal post will always be moved 🤣

It's inevitable... Faster data flywheel and iteration learning loop wins the long game.
Tesla's AI data flywheel 🚘♻️🤖 The Tesla fleet gathers more miles of driving data each week than Waymo has in its entire existence. It was a brilliant move to equip all cars with the full sensor stack (just cameras) long before FSD shipped. From 1:25 of

We’re complaining about Apple’s monopolistic App Store. In 10 years, we’ll be complaining about Tesla’s monopolistic Self-Driving software.

They will call it a monopoly

What many people don't understand is that Tesla FSD is only going to get better with time. Just look how rapidly AI has improved with image generation in such a short time. By the time that AI6 comes out, FSD will be near perfected.

Can’t wait to have Robotaxi’s confidence in parking lots in my own Model S!

Since FDS is AI-based, it will eventually evolve to the point where driving becomes so simple and limited, from a superintelligence’s perspective, that the system itself will start to complain about the constraints of this form of transport. We’ve always read about flying cars, like in Back to the Future II, but whenever the topic came up, my answer was always the same: the only way it could ever be possible is if the cars flew themselves. FDS will make that a reality.
> $100k good?
If we make all cars with FSD package self-driving, as planned, any such Tesla should be worth $100k to $200k, as utility increases from ~12 hours/week to ~60 hours/week

Consider renaming to Tesla Drive™

'They' can keep their own cars. I look forward to not driving and to lower my insurance costs.

They always find someone else to blame why they‘re wrong

When should Austin Robotaxi be able to work without safety monitors?
6
Exactly. First they deny it, then they cry about it.

China just did a crazy test with all the cars. Tesla was the only one to pass. Congratulations! 🎉🍾🎊🎈

Just snoop on their DMs, you all can figure it out that way, when they 'switch' conversations.
I got this cute message when I opened DMs this morning 👀

Any timeline for getting robotaxis and robovans in the north east? Vermont has pretty bad mass transit, yet we have an aging population, and the same is true in many places in New England. Betters options are sorely needed.

At which point you just license it to competitors
