They changed the orientation of axis in ortho view in #UE5.6. Is the LUF coming here too?

RE: top view changes. It's on purpose, not a bug. It breaks some of our stuff, now I have to search how to show it the old way 😫

Actually I just realized that i messed up with my schema, y was down before. So they just rotated the view 90°. Still, why X is down now? Should be up to match the 3d view?

Well, yes, but here z is still up, only x/y are swapped and inverted. Doesn't make much sense

I have news for you, the coords system was always inconsistent across viewports, ones claim forward is X and others Y, main, skeletal ones and static mesh ones

I remember that skeletal Y is because somebody made an import error in the past and they keept it. But here we have something that changed right now

It's not LUF ofc, luf has Y up. Maybe related somehow, they had to change something for LUF and mixed some code. I hope it's just a bug

One is CAD-stylr (the new one, 5.6), one is for 3D modeling (5.5). As the real and virtual worlds are continuing to merge into one another, the CAD-style orientation is making kore and more sense. Unreal just came a bit closer to reality.

UE6 is basically UEFN, they will be merged as I understand it.

He said it will be integrated slowly, but not left up - only the X/Y swap. Its annoying to change, but smart long term to have it match other apps.

They should no change orientation now wtf
