Good bot.
A while ago I had 10 $USDC just sitting in my wallet and I was thinking how nice it would be if I could programmatically trade 10 $USDC back-and-forth on market swings to try and earn 1-2% each trade. After all, if I trade 10 $USDC back-and-forth 10 times, earning 2% each trade, that's the same thing as trading 100 $USDC, one time, for a 2% return. See the idea? To add even more incentives, there is no crypto-equivalent of the Pattern Day Trader rule! This means I can trade with impunity on the blockchain without needing to have $25,000 sitting in my account and as long as its profitable after DEX and gas fees, we're all good. So I needed a blockchain with minimal fees, short confirmation times, instant finality, zero downtime, and a solid DEX with an SDK. Naturally, I went with the Algorand blockhain (@AlgoFoundation and @Algorand). I used the @tinymanorg python-SDK, made some modifications so I could add transaction notes to the swap groups, and coded up the logic for executing trades via the @tinymanorg smart contracts using their SDK. I started with 1 $USDC swaps and once I got comfortable started doing 10, 20, 30, and most recently 40 $USDC swaps. Results thus far: First trade: 2025-01-12 22:34:41 Last trade: 2025-07-15 20:54:10 Trading period: 183 days, 22:19:29.348000 Total profit: 103.99918 $USDC Trades closed: 256 Average trade size: 19.72422 $USDC Profit per trade: 0.40625 $USDC Average ROI: 2.1% $USDC Trade Volume: 10,202.8875 $USDC

Would love to help you expand USDC support to Algorand. We have instant transaction finality, so payments via stables can settle immediately with no risk for the merchant. Hit me up if you want to talk shop.

Which blockchain solves this?
Bitcoin may have just 2 years 4 months and 2 days. quantumdoomclock.com
Confidential. Quantum secure. On Algorand. With falcon_verify and HermesVault’s zero-knowledge design, users can now create private, post-quantum-ready accounts. Built through deep collaboration between @Algorand and @AlgoFoundation 🔐 Read the technical brief below.

Algorand has executed the first post-quantum transaction on its mainnet using NIST-selected Falcon signatures. This transaction demonstrates that quantum-resistant signatures can now protect real digital assets on a live public blockchain today. ...While some researchers argue practical quantum hardware remains decades away, others, including Ethereum co-founder @VitalikButerin, point to forecasts suggesting a 20% probability of cryptographically relevant quantum computers before 2030. While the timeline remains uncertain, the implication is clear: every system relying on classical public-key cryptography must adopt a post-quantum strategy well before quantum attacks become feasible. Recently, #Algorand demonstrated that post-quantum security is no longer theoretical. The protocol team at @AlgoFoundation executed the first post-quantum transaction on Algorand using the Falcon signature scheme on the mainnet network. This transaction, secured by Falcon, a NIST-selected lattice-based signature scheme, shows that quantum-resistant signatures can protect real digital assets on a live public blockchain. While many teams are still outlining post-quantum roadmaps, Algorand has deployed working code, live infrastructure, and developer tooling that supports experimentation today. For my Algo fam #NewProfilePic Algorand did it first. First blockchain with a tokenized public company stock.

> in what other software industry are you paying your customers to take your product and try it? In many industries where companies try to build network effects. E.g. if you remember the early days of $5 Uber rides, that was only possible at a huge cost out of their warchest to grow their presence, network and market share > we've already gone through this EXACT scenario of paying companies [..] > it's ridiculous Yep. And It absolutely is ridiculous. But it is the reality of "selling" blockchain, doubly so for alt Blockchains, and triply so when we're trying to break back into the top N That said: Is there anything to do but to keep trying? I think decentralized identity could have legs, and the best-case outcome of this pilot execution is that it dominates identity in chess. Ofc you can't be certain about anything in advance, and hindsight is 20/20. If it isn't a success, at the very least we'll have a tested DID stack for others to consider and our BD team to "sell" It would have been irresponsible If we chose to just build a Decentralized Identity stack without a use case or customer. Investment/startups/ventures are very risky already; when Engineering builds products without customers or user loops, the fail rate tends to 100% - very few exceptions to this rule that do not apply here. Building a DID stack to the best of our imaginations/without a customer spec, and without a product to launch with, would have been a moonshot with 99.99% "wasted effort" outcome > im not purposely trying to stoke a fire that shouldnt be there. Fwiw I found your comment reasonable and respectful. Also, I commented but you may be shadowbanned (?) and it seems to have been lost

Shout out to @GoPlausible whose work was instrumental to get the POC up and running. I can't wait to share it more broadly, but it will take a bit of time. The TL;DR is this. We showed an end2end use case of a shopping agent negotiating and purchasing shoes from a merchant agent and completing the payment on Algorand. This included a full integration of MCP, A2A, AP2, and X402 protocols with the Algorand blockchain 🚀🚀🚀

During his @blockworksDAS talk, MD of Web3 & Digital Assets at @googlecloud, James Tromans, spotlighted a demo from the Algorand team, showcasing agentic payments in action. ICYMI: Algorand recently partnered with @Google on the Agent Payments Protocol (AP2).

Tokenized stocks are the future. It’s why Exodus was the first company in the U.S. to tokenize our common stock on @algorand in 2021.
JUST IN: $13.4 trillion BlackRock CEO Larry Fink says they are developing their own technology for the tokenization of assets.

Algorand has been added as a partner for @GoogleCloudTech's Agent Payments Protocol (AP2). Google developed AP2 to initiate & transact agent-led payments across platforms securely. Our blockchain’s instant finality, low-cost, and secure transactions make AP2-ready agent payments seamless across platforms.
